The concept that men and boys cannot control themselves, even in the slightest of terms, is beyond toxic and detrimental to the health and well being of black women, and little black girls and boys who will one day replace us and continue to carry on fragments of our societal ethos.

We teach our sons absolutely nothing while ensuring our daughters can do everything for the sons we refuse to teach. In most international cultures, girls are criticized for not knowing how to clean and cook while the sons do virtually nothing, It’s like having a second mother.

We force young girls into these situations. We’re the ones manipulating them and molding them to bend to the will of a tyrant man. And when those same little girls grow up to become women who speak up, we shun them as if we aren’t the cause of their fear, pain, and hesitation.

We coddle boys and continue giving them write offs even as tired old men. But from five years of age young girls are subjected to damaging societal gender dynamics that say her place is on her knees, in a man’s bed, or the kitchen. When she decided to test those boundaries and calls out the people who boxed her in, she‘s a problem because she spoke up and is now in the wrong.

It takes a village, but the village is consumed and overwhelmed by toxic people (because i know some ignorant ass is going to pop in saying not all men) who refuse to change. People who see power as the epitome instead of honesty.

“He’s worked his entire life to achieve this, those women— those sluts are the bad ones. They three pussy at him for mone knowing he’d take the bait. They’re lying for a check.” ….. Did you ever sit down and think that as he gained more say, more power, more rep., his shadow grew big enough that it cast a shadow over the ones who wished to speak and that by the time anyone was willing to listen he was so well established the only “plausiable idea” was that the victims (black women in this instance) could only be liars and gold diggers.

Two of many things society still continues to push onto black women.

Why can’t we ever just be telling the truth? Why do we persecute the child but praise the man? Why do you hate us?

Why do you hate black girlhood the way you do?
